Supporting Gender Equity in Global Health.

The Gender Equity Unit (GEU), a division of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, is dedicated to advancing gender equity in middle and low-income countries through research, resource sharing, and capacity building. As part of Bloomberg Philanthropies' Data for Health Initiative, the GEU required a website to adapt to its evolving organizational needs. Collaborating with Exygy Design, I contributed to the creation of a visual direction and user-centered, globally accessible website aimed at fostering gender equity initiatives.

Approach

  • Created design direction for a diverse multinational group of stakeholders and users, considering cultural and aesthetic aspects.

  • Iterative and agile design, continually incorporating feedback from user testing and subject matter expert input.

  • Through user-research and prototype testing, created a component-based UI system to match user flows and requirements.
