Elevating well-being with research-based practices.

Greater Good in Action (GGIA) is a public-reaching arm of an organization at Berkley University studying the psychology, sociology, and neuroscience of well-being. GGIA collects the best research-based methods for a happier, more meaningful life. While their research is esteemed and acquired a sizable following, they lacked a public-facing platform for practices and outcomes. I worked with Exygy to design a desktop application where these methods can be easily navigated and made part of a daily routine, including a user-focused, bold and modern site aimed at improving lives through research-based mindfulness practices.

Approach

  • Collaboration with internal design team, leading researchers, stakeholders and practitioners.

  • User-testing and stakeholder feedback throughout design process and after launch.

  • UI design direction for a desktop app for bringing mindfulness practices into daily routines.

  • Modern and engaging branding and visual design.

  • Iterative improvements after launch based on feedback.

Research is clear: Happiness, resilience, connection, and kindness are skills that can be taught and developed over time—with practice.
